Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the apples into eighths and place them like tiles in a buttered gratin dish. Drizzle with lemon juice to prevent the apples from browning. Knead a dough from oat flakes, flour, sugar and butter and honey (and possibly some rosemary powder) and crumble over the apples. Cover with two sprigs of rosemary or sprinkle with rosemary needles.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at approx. 190 ° on the bottom rack for approx. 30 minutes.
  3. Whipped cream and walnut ice cream flavored with Cointreau can be served as desired. It`s totally unreasonable, but it tastes divine with it!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
