Ingredients

  • 120 g hazelnuts, round
  • 75 g semolina
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 50 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 3 tablespoon apricot jam
  • 100 g chocolate flakes

Instructions

  1. Quarter, core and peel the apples. Grate one half, cut the second into wedges. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat the sugar and egg yolks until creamy. Fold in the ground nuts, semolina, cocoa and grated apple. Pour cake batter into a springform pan (28 cm) that has been greased or lined with baking aluminum foil. Smooth out and cover with apple wedges. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and bake the cake for 45-50 minutes.
  3. Let the cake cool in the pan. Then remove, brush with the heated apricot jam and garnish the edge with the chocolate chips.
