Ingredients

  • 1 glass applesauce
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 200 g suar
  • 4 egg (s), size M
  • 1 kg quark, lean
  • 1 ½ pack custard powder, vanilla
  • Fat and semolina for the mold or baking paper
  • 50 g almond (s), diced

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and sugar with the hand mixer until creamy. Mix in the eggs one by one. Fold in the quark, pudding powder and the applesauce.
  2. Grease a springform pan (26 cm Ø) and sprinkle with semolina or line with baking paper.
  3. Scatter the almond sticks on the base and pour the dough on top. Bake in the preheated oven on the 2nd rack from the bottom at 180 degrees (gas 2-3, convection 160 degrees) for 50 minutes.
  4. Cover the cake with aluminum foil and bake for another 25 minutes. Let cool down.
  5. The cake only tastes really good the next day after it has been really pulled through!
