Applesauce with Ginger and Chilli

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into large pieces. Add sugar - not too much at the beginning, you can always sweeten it up.
  2. Peel the ginger and chop it very finely and add the finely ground dried chili peppers. Add ginger and chilli really to taste. These two spices shouldn`t be pre-tasted.
  3. I`ve been making our applesauce like this for some time - not too sweet with a slight ginger taste. And only after a little while does the slight chilli heat come through.
  4. Just try it out - it tastes great.
  5. I make my applesauce in the microwave - it`s quick and clean. But of course you can also cook it on the stove.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
