Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 kg asparagus, green and white
  • 2 packs hollandaise sauce
  • 200 g cooked ham, cut into strips
  • 100 g ham, raw, diced
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • Water (salt water)
  • some butter
  • some sugar

Instructions

  1. Let the puff pastry thaw. Peel the asparagus and cut into pieces approx. 5 cm long. Cook in sugared, salted water with a pinch of butter until al dente. (Green asparagus doesn`t take that long, so add it later.) Drain.
  2. Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press down to create an even surface. Spread the asparagus on top.
  3. Mix the ham strips and cubes in between, pour the hollandaise sauce over them and distribute the cheese evenly over the top. Bake in the oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes and brown until golden.
  4. Also suitable as a starter.
