Ingredients

  • 500 g asparaus, reen or white, fresh
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pesto made from wild garlic or wild garlic, pureed in olive oil

Instructions

  1. Put the cleaned and washed asparagus dripping wet in a microwave-safe dish, sprinkle with salt and sugar and brush with wild garlic oil or pesto. Then, depending on the microwave power, cook for 5-8 minutes at full power. Since the performance of the devices fluctuates significantly, make a cooking test after 4 minutes and extend the cooking time as required.
  2. If you need large quantities, the microwave is not so good as a double quantity means approx. Double the cooking time. In this case, it would be worth trying to cook the seasoned asparagus in a closed form in the oven or to wrap it in baking paper in portions (I haven`t tested it yet).
  3. Since the asparagus does not leach through the cooking water, I find that it tastes much more intense in the microwave, and the cooking effort is also relatively low for one person.
  4. The specified amount is very generous for one person. As a side dish, it should also be enough for 2 people.
