Ingredients

  • 100 g oat flakes or spelled flakes, 5-rain mix or barley flakes
  • 1 handful nuts (e.g. almonds, sunflower seeds, etc.)
  • 1 handful raisins
  • possibly grated ginger, if necessary
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 apple, generously diced
  • cinnamon
  • Syrup (agave syrup) or cane sugar
  • water

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee in a small saucepan and toast the nuts, ginger and raisins in it. Then pour the flakes over it. Swirl the whole thing and then add enough water so that the water is approx. 1 cm above the flakes. Now lower the temperature.
  2. Heat some water in another small saucepan and steam the diced apple with the cinnamon until soft.
  3. When the flakes have absorbed all of the water, the flakes are placed in a deep plate and mixed with the steamed apple. For sweetening now use the agave syrup or the cane sugar as desired.
  4. Tip: If you like and who don`t have to pay attention to the calories, you can add 1 teaspoon of ghee over the warm porridge.
