Ingredients

  • 10 slices toast
  • 20 slices bacon, thinly sliced
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon crème fraîche, lightly heaped
  • 125 g tomato (s), dried soaked in oil and drained
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chives, frozen or fresh
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, frozen or fresh
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the sun-dried tomatoes and chop them finely. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, crème fraîche, pressed garlic clove, chives, and parsley until smooth. Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Remove the crust from each toast slice and cut crosswise into 4 equal squares.
  3. Spread roughly 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture on each toast square.
  4. Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise. Place one bacon half on top of each cream cheese-topped square.
  5. Arrange the canapes on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 220°C / 428°F using top and bottom heat for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
