- 50 g cheese (Mancheo), rated
- 18 slices bacon (breakfast bacon), halved

- Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Cut the dates lengthways, pour in the Manchego.
- Wrap the dates in bacon and place on a toothpick. Fry in the oven on a rack lined with baking paper for about 15 minutes until crispy.
- Very tasty on a mixed starter platter or as a snack with a good glass of red wine. Tastes good the next day too!
