Ingredients

  • 350 g bacon, fried
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 60 g butter
  • 1 egg (s), beaten
  • 125 ml cream
  • 150 g cheddar cheese, rated
  • 3 spring onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds

Instructions

  1. Skim off excess fat from the fried and diced bacon and save 1 tablespoon of it.
  2. Mix the butter with the flour mixed with baking powder, add the egg and stir to a creamy mixture. Then mix in the bacon, cheese and spring onions.
  3. Grease muffin tins with the reserved fat.
  4. Fill the muffin tins 3/4 full with batter and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve hot.
