Instructions

  1. Put the spelled flour in a bowl. I always make a small hollow on the side in which I crumble the yeast. Add the teaspoon of sugar and some water on top. Bury the salt in the flour on the other side of the bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the water with your hands. Now slowly add the rest of the water and work it into a soft dough with your hands (of course you can also use the mixer).
  2. Let it rise for about half an hour. When the dough has risen, add the diced Gouda cheese and the diced bacon (the dough should not be too firm). Let rise again for half an hour.
  3. Then shape about 16 rolls and place on a baking sheet. Let it rise again for 30 minutes. Brush the rolls with water and bake in a preheated oven at 250 ° C for 15 - 20 minutes.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
