Baguette Baked in Foil with Cheese Filling

by Editorial Staff

For an alternative to boring toast, make these cheese-filled snack sandwiches baked in foil under the grill.

Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese (shredded on a grater) – 120 g (1 glass)
  • Butter (softened) – 100 g (1/2 cup)
  • Fresh parsley (finely chopped) – 1/4 cup
  • Garlic (minced) – 1 clove
  • Garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika – 1/2 teaspoon
  • French baguette or regular loaf (cut into slices) – 1 pc. (450 g)

Directions

  1. Turn on the grill to preheat to medium heat. In a large bowl, combine chopped cheese, softened butter, chopped parsley, chopped garlic, garlic powder, and paprika. Beat everything with a mixer until fluffy, homogeneous.
  2. Grease each baguette slice liberally with the oil mixture on all sides. Re-assemble the baguette from the slices and wrap it in a dense foil layer, pressing the foil tightly against the baguette.
  3. Place the baguette on the grill rack, cover the grill, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning the baguette once during the entire cooking time.

Enjoy your meal!
