Baguette with Beef, Sorrel and Sweet Onions Ingredients

  • Baguette – 1 pc. (one baguette is enough for 2-3 servings)
  • Beef meat – about 400 g (add to your taste)
  • Short-fruited fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Greens (take a mix: cilantro, parsley, dill, mint) – 1 bunch
  • Fresh sorrel – 5-6 leaves
  • Lime – 1 pc.
  • Mayonnaise – 1 tablespoon
  • Sour cream – 2-3 tablespoon.
  • Butter – to taste
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

  1. To begin with, cut a piece of cucumber into thin strips using a vegetable knife (Housekeeper).
  2. Cut the rest into small cubes and put them in a bowl.

  3. We also finely chop the herbs (parsley, dill, cilantro), and there, in a bowl.
  4. Rub some lime zest. Also in a bowl.
  5. Add mayonnaise and sour cream there. Salt, pepper, and squeeze some lime juice. Then mix everything.
  6. Cut the baguette into two parts, grease with oil.

  7. Fry in a pan for 2-3 minutes and remove.
  8. Cut the onion into rings.
  9. Fry the onions with the addition of butter, paprika, and sugar.
  10. Cut the meat into plates.
  11. Fry in a pan for 2-3 minutes, on both sides, season with salt and pepper (do not overcook the meat).
  12. Now grease the bottom of the fried baguette with sauce.
  13. And put everything on greased toast in the following sequence: fresh sorrel leaves, fried onions, fresh cucumber slices, meat, sauce.
    Close with the top of the baguette. Cut and stab with skewers.
