Instructions

  1. Peel the apples and remove the core. Then cut the apples into medium-sized cubes and add them to the saucepan. Simply add all the other ingredients and bring to the boil briefly. Then turn back to low temperature and simmer for about 30 minutes. Then the apple pieces should be soft. If not, add another 10-15 minutes.
  2. I then pressed the apple pieces with a ladle until they were mushy and it was ready to eat, both warm and cold. The ideal dessert for cold, wet winter evenings or just in between.
  3. Tip: for children, swap the wine for water or milk.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
