Ingredients

  • 6 apples, rather sweet
  • 6 teaspoons marzipan paste
  • 6 teaspoons cranberries, from the glass
  • 6 teaspoons walnuts, chopped
  • 3 tablespoon, heaped sugar, brown
  • 3 tablespoon butter, good
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder
  • 1 liter vanilla ice cream
  • 3 tablespoon calvados, to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into thin wedges. Process the marzipan mixture, the cranberries, the chopped walnuts, cinnamon and cardamom into a mixture.
  2. Heat the butter in a pan and caramelize the brown sugar. When it turns brown, add the apple wedges and caramelize them. Turn several times, but do not let the apple wedges fall apart. After about 3 - 5 minutes, remove the caramelized apples from the pan and pile 1/6 of the apple wedges in the middle of a large white plate so that there is space for the filling in the middle. Put the marzipan, cranberry and walnut mixture in the middle, drizzle with a few drops of Calvados if you like and place an approximately 2 cm thick ice slice on the baked apple.
  3. Serve immediately.
