Ingredients

  • 1 large apple
  • 300 g oat flakes, crunchy
  • 250 g almonds, chopped
  • 15 g sesame seeds
  • 15 g sunflower seeds
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon ¾ ginger powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ allspice powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cardamom powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ clove powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ salt
  • 7 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 120 g cranberries or raisins

Instructions

  1. For the baked apple granola, wash the apple, remove the core and cut into approx. 0.5 cm cubes with the skin. Mix the dry ingredients with the spices in a large bowl. Add the coconut oil, vanilla and maple syrup and stir until everything is well mixed. Fold in the apple cubes and then distribute the mixture evenly on two baking sheets lined with baking paper.
  2. Bake the muesli in a preheated oven at 150 ° C for 15 minutes. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and mix the muesli well once. Reduce the temperature to 120 ° C and bake the muesli for another 15 minutes. I swap the baking trays so that each one is up and down once.
  3. After the second 15 minutes, mix the muesli again and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. During this time, make sure that the apple pieces dry well, but do not burn.
  4. Let the muesli cool down. Mix in the cranberries or raisins and enjoy the granola.
