Ingredients

  • 2 apples, red, sour
  • 50 g raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 shot rum
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 50 g almond (s), sliced
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 100 g suar
  • 150 ml mulled wine
  • Fat for the shape

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and use a cutter to remove the core.
  2. Mix the marzipan, raisins, almonds, cinnamon, clove powder and the rum (if you like), preferably with your hands. Pour the mixture into the prepared apples (I put some apricot jam on top, but it`s a matter of taste).
  3. Put the apples in a greased casserole dish and fry them in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, prepare a water bath. Mix the egg yolk, mulled wine and sugar and whip in the slowly heating water bath until frothy - but be careful: Do not let it get too hot, otherwise the eggs will stick!
  5. First place some mulled wine foam on a deep plate, then place the baked apple on top and pour a little more mulled wine foam over it.
  6. Cinnamon ice cream goes best with it.
