Ingredients

  • 2 apples, sour, (Boskoop, Gravensteiner or Cox Orange)
  • 50 g nuts, (trail mix)
  • 5 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 chocolate bar, (Snickers)
  • 10 g marzipan

For the sauce:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)

Instructions

  1. Cut open the lids of the apples and scoop out the apples.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees circulating air.
  3. Finely chop trail mix, honey, milk and Snickers in a blender.
  4. Pour the mixture into the apples and garnish with marzipan flakes.
  5. Then put the apples in the oven for 20 minutes.
  6. For the vanilla sauce: Mix the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar and starch in a saucepan until smooth. Pull the pulp out of the vanilla pod and add both to the pot.
  7. Beat the whole thing on a low flame until the sauce thickens. Caution: The mass must not boil. Finally remove the pod again.
  8. As soon as the apples are slightly brownish on the outside, take them out of the oven to look crispy.
  9. Arrange on a plate with vanilla sauce and consume with pleasure.
  10. Good Appetite!
