An amazing Spanish dessert that is loved and cooked all over the world. Churros are traditionally deep-fried but can also be baked that is a simplified version. You will definitely need a pastry bag.
Cook: 1 hr
Servings: 5-7
Ingredients
Water – 250 ml
Butter – 110 g
Flour – 150 g
Eggs – 3 pcs,
Sugar – 70 g
Cinnamon – 1 tablespoon.
Directions
Melt the butter (you can take margarine). Do not bring it to a boil and stir it constantly.
Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and then the flour. Knead the dough quickly.
Add the egg and continue to knead the dough.
Put the dough tightly into a pastry bag. If you don’t have a pastry bag, take a regular, thick bag and make a small notch in one corner.
Cover the baking tray with parchment and press out small pieces of dough.
Place the baking tray into the oven preheated up to 200 degrees for 15 minutes. While your churros are baking, take a wide plate, put sugar in it, and add cinnamon. Mix everything thoroughly. This will be the topping.
You can use any spices, even salty ones, but then add 1 teaspoon of sugar and some salt to the dough. I made sweet churros and served them with melted chocolate.
