Ingredients

  • 2 packs sheep`s cheese, 150 - 00 g each
  • 1 medium onion (s), red
  • 10 cocktail tomatoes
  • 0.5 ½ small bell pepper (s), red
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Chilli pepper (s), red
  • olive oil
  • oregano. separate
  • paprika powder, noble sweet
  • sugar
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top and bottom heat.
  2. Drain the two sheep`s cheeses and place them side by side in a baking dish. Pour olive oil until the bottom of the baking dish is evenly covered with oil (approx. 1 - 2 mm). Season the cheese as well as the oil with oregano, paprika and pepper and spread the chilli cut into fine rings (amount according to heat tolerance, I only had 1/4 pod) on top.
  3. Peel the onion, cut in half and cut into fine rings. Sauté in a small saucepan in a little olive oil over medium heat and caramelize with a little sugar.
  4. In the meantime, wash and core the pepper and cut into fine strips. Peel the garlic clove and cut into thin slices. Wash tomatoes and cut in half.
  5. Spread the onions on the cheese and in the oil, then briefly sauté the pepper strips in the saucepan. Add the garlic and tomatoes and fry only briefly. Season with a little salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar and oregano. Spread around the cheese in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve with baguette and a small salad.
