Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into thin slices, similar to French fries. Cook in boiling salted water for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to packet instructions.
  2. Finely chop the onion. Fry the onion with the minced meat over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the meat is cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and curry powder.
  3. In a high baking dish, layer in this order: potatoes, noodles, minced meat mixture. Spread the Kaiser or butter vegetables over the top.
  4. In a saucepan, bring the meat broth to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Add the cream, sour cream, and processed cheese, stirring constantly for 3-5 minutes until smooth. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika powder, curry powder, and mixed herbs.
  5. If the sauce is too thin, stir in sauce thickener according to package instructions.
  6. Pour the sauce evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish. Top with grated cheese.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 45 minutes, until the top is golden and the sauce is bubbling at the edges.
