Ingredients

  • 4 medium onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ powdered sugar
  • 1 liter vegetable stock
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 4 slices toast
  • 50 g cheese, rated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean the onions and cut into thin rings. Slowly simmer in the butter until translucent. Dust the icing sugar over it and let it caramelize lightly. Pour in the wine and let it boil down a little. Top up with broth (preferably homemade), salt and lightly pepper.
  2. Debark, toast and sprinkle with grated cheese. Pour the soup into soup bowls, place the bread on top and brown the cheese under the grill.
