  • Butter – 30 g
  • Fresh thyme – 2-3 sprigs
  • Sea salt – 0.5 teaspoon.

  1. Prepare all ingredients for cooking baked onions. Take out the butter beforehand so that it softens.

  2. Disassemble the thyme sprigs into leaves.
  3. In a mortar, crush the thyme leaves with salt.
  4. Add thyme salt to the softened butter and mix.
  5. Cut each onion into four parts, without cutting to the end. Gently fill the incisions with aromatic butter.
  6. Put in a baking dish and send the red onion to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 35-40 minutes.
