Baked Zucchini with Cheese Breading

Delicate zucchini cubes baked in crispy cheese breading are a great snack. These zucchini are great to serve with a garlic sauce based on mayonnaise and sour cream.

Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Zucchini – 1 pc.
- Hard cheese – 100 g
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Wheat flour – 100 g
- Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
For the sauce:
- Sour cream – 1 tbsp
- Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
- Garlic powder – 1/3 teaspoon
Directions
- Prepare all food. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Beat the egg lightly, salt and pepper.
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, mix with half the flour and breadcrumbs.
- Cut the courgettes into small cubes. Young zucchini need not be peeled.
- Dip each zucchini bite in flour.
- Dip the zucchini into the egg mixture.
- Then roll in cheese breading. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
Bake the zucchini in the oven at 180 degrees until browning, about 40 minutes. - For the sauce, combine mayonnaise, sour cream and garlic powder.
- Serve the baked zucchini in cheese breading with cooked garlic sauce.
