Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta (I always use particularly small varieties that are specially made for children) as instructed, and cook the peas for the last 2 minutes. Pour into a sieve, return to the saucepan and mix in the corn kernels. Finally add the créme fraîche and season with salt and pepper.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, squeeze small dumplings out of the fresh sausage. Fry them until crispy in a little hot frying fat (oil or clarified butter).
  3. Finally mix the noodles and sausage dumplings, and add the frying fat as well. Mix in the grated cheese and mix well. If the dish is too firm, you can mix in a few more spoons of water.
  4. My day children eat their plates empty and are particularly enthusiastic about the sausage balls.
  5. The dish is also tasty for adults, but then I recommend adding a little garlic, peppers and herbs. You can also use sheep`s cheese instead of grated Emmentaler. I can also imagine mixing in rocket lettuce.
  6. The above amount is enough for 3 hungry children.
