Banana Milk Croutons

by Editorial Staff

Delicious and unusual croutons! Banana puree adds sweetness and aroma to croutons. They are perfect for breakfast or as a snack any time of the day!

Cook: 10 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • White bread – 6 slices
  • Banana (small, ripe) – 1 pc. (about 150 g in the peel)
  • Milk – 30 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1-2 tbsp

Directions

  1. Peel and mashed banana, you can do this with a blender, pusher, or fork, the main thing is that the mashed potatoes are as homogeneous as possible.
  2. Add milk and egg to the puree. To stir thoroughly.
  3. In the resulting mixture, dip all pieces of bread on both sides in turn.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry croutons over low heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot croutons to the table, as they are most delicious. Optionally, you can add slices of fruit to such sweet croutons – I used kiwi and banana.

Bon Appetit!
