  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g butter or mararine, cold, cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 100 ml cold water

Instructions

  1. Pour the flour into a bowl, add the butter and salt and mix with a knife, further breaking up the pieces of butter. Mix the water with the vinegar, add to the flour and butter mixture and quickly knead into a smooth dough.
  2. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour. Roll out and place in a 28 cm diameter springform pan lined with baking paper.
  3. Pour in the filling as you like and continue working according to the recipe. Baking time and temperature depending on the type and amount of filling.
  4. The dough has a neutral taste and you can use it to make both sweet and savory pies or quiches.
  5. It is very elastic and tear-resistant, so that it can also be used to make `drawn out` strudel. Let it rest for at least 1 hour under an upturned bowl at room temperature.
