Ingredients

  • 0.25 ¼ cup Worcester sauce
  • 0.5 ½ cup onion (s), finely chopped
  • 0.25 ¼ cup sugar, brown
  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 lemon (s), just the juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • possibly smoked salt, to taste
  • some oil, sunflower oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed

Instructions

  1. Put the Worcester sauce with the chopped onions in a saucepan and simmer gently with the brown sugar. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring constantly. Possibly add oil if it thickens too much.
  2. The sauce stays tightly closed in the refrigerator for several weeks.
  3. Tastes great with grilled meat, sausages, etc.
  4. We also use them on bread, e.g. on roast meats.
