Ingredients

  • 225 g strawberries, peeled, chopped
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 60 ml water
  • 480 ml whole milk

Also:

  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon coffee powder, instant
  • 2 tablespoon boiling water
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. Put the strawberries in a small saucepan with sugar and water and bring to the boil. Reduce the hotplate temperature and simmer the strawberries for 5 - 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid is reduced and the berries disintegrate.
  2. Place a fine sieve over a bowl and stroke the strawberries. Use the residues for another purpose. Let the strawberry syrup cool slightly and stir into the milk. Put the strawberry milk aside.
  3. Put the 2 tablespoons of sugar in a medium-sized bowl. Stir in the coffee powder and boiling water. Beat with a hand mixer slowly at first, then at the highest setting for 2 - 4 minutes until the mixture is light, smooth and fluffy, then set aside.
  4. Divide the strawberry milk into two glass coffee pots, add ice cubes as desired and spoon over the whipped coffee. Garnished with additional strawberries if you like. Serve the drink immediately.
