Bechamel

Bechamel sauce made from milk, flour, and butter. Simple béchamel can be used as a stand-alone sauce for many dishes and as a base for other sauces.

Ingredients

Milk – 2 cups
Flour – 50 g
Butter – 50 g
White pepper – to taste
Salt – 1 pinch

How to make béchamel sauce:

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add flour.
  3. Whisk the mixture for 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Pour milk in small portions. Stir until smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Whisk the béchamel sauce again.
  7. Bechamel sauce is ready!
