Ingredients

  • Beef – 500 g
  • Kefir – 1.5 cups
  • Ginger – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Cinnamon – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Saffron – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground red pepper – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ginger, cinnamon, saffron, ground red pepper, and salt, and mix together.
  2. Cut the beef into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. Coat each piece of beef with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the coated beef in a bowl.
  5. Pour the kefir over the beef and stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  7. Thread the marinated beef onto skewers.
  8. Grill over hot coals at medium-high to high heat for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
  9. Remove from skewers and serve immediately while hot.
