Beef Stew with Spices

This dish is cooked for about 3 hours with the addition of parsnips, celery, spices and vegetables. It will cook much faster in a pressure cooker. The spiced beef stew is very tasty.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Beef – 500 Grams
  • Vegetable oil – 100 grams
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Celery – 1 Piece
  • Carrots – 3 Pieces
  • Potatoes – 2-4 Pieces
  • Cornstarch – 2 Teaspoons
  • Parsnip – To taste
  • Parsley – To taste
  • Thyme – To taste
  • Tomato Paste – 20 Grams

Directions

  1. Cut the beef into large chunks and fry in vegetable oil. This can be done right away in a pressure cooker, multicooker, and even in a brazier.
  2. Salt and season to taste.
  3. Finely chop the onion and celery and send to the meat. Mix everything so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Add spices and some water. Now cover and simmer over low heat for an hour and a half.
  5. When the meat is stewed, add the carrots and potatoes and, if necessary, water. Simmer for another hour.
  6. Add some cream and starch. Then simmer for another 15 minutes. At the very end, you can add more fresh herbs.
  7. The meat is stewed until it is too soft. Leave it after stewing for 20 minutes to cool slightly (it tastes better).
  8. Serve the meat as a separate dish with sauce. This is a slightly different interpretation of roast.
