Beef stew is a great option for both a weekday dinner and a festive table. I recommend you try to cook beef with dried fruits – very tender, juicy and aromatic meat!
Cook: 1 hour 20 mins
Servings: 4-5
Ingredients
Beef – 600-700 Grams
Wine – 250 Grams
Dried fruits – 150-200 Grams
Almonds – 70 Grams
Spices – To taste
Onion – 1 Piece
Carrots – 1-2 Pieces
Olive oil – To taste
Garlic – 2-3 Cloves
Directions
First you need to rinse dried fruits.
Pour boiling water over the dried fruits to keep them soft.
Cut the beef into medium cubes.
Fry the meat in a little oil until lightly crusty. Season with salt and pepper, add spices for the meat.
While the meat is fried, chop the onion finely, the carrots can be coarsely chopped or grated.
Cut the garlic into slices.
Set aside the fried meat for now.
Fry the onions in the same skillet.
Then add the carrots and garlic.
Pour in the wine.
Place the fried meat.
Simmer, covered with a lid, for about 50 minutes, or even an hour. Beef loves to be stewed for a long time, then the meat will be more tender. Toss nuts and dried fruits to the meat 20 minutes before the end. If the wine evaporates quickly, add more or replace it with broth.
You can serve ready-made beef with dried fruits with a light side dish, for example, with rice.
