Instructions

  1. Season the meat vigorously with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Brush both sides with mustard.
  2. Halve 2 onions and cut into strips, cut garlic cloves into fine sticks, mix. Finely chop the parsley.
  3. Layer onions, garlic and meat in layers in a bowl. Top up with beer and sprinkle with parsley. Cover with foil and marinate in the refrigerator overnight, but at least 3 hours.
  4. Halve 3 onions and cut into strips. Put aside. Preheat the oven to 80 ° C.
  5. Let some oil get hot in a pan. Take the meat out of the marinade, drain it and fry it in the oil (attention: the marinade will make it splash while frying!). Reduce the heat and add 3-4 tablespoons of marinade with onions and garlic to the pan. Let it boil down. Finish frying the steak and keep it warm in the oven.
  6. In the same pan, fry the onions that were set aside until they are soft and have taken on a little color. Add a little marinade if you like.
  7. Arrange the steak on a plate, cover with the onions.
  8. Serve with potato salad.
  9. These steaks also taste good on the grill or braised in a little marinade from the oven.
