If you bake or boil beets in advance, a salad of beets, nuts and lettuce leaves will be ready in just a few minutes!   • Beets (baked or boiled) – 2-3 pcs. (medium size)
  • Walnuts (or any other) roasted – 100 g
  • Sesame (optional) – to taste
  • Iceberg lettuce (or spinach, rucola, salad mix) – to taste

  • Vegetable oil (olive oil can be used) – 3 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground pepper – to taste
  • Honey (optional) – 1 teaspoon

  1. For salad, it is necessary to boil or bake beets in advance, cool and peel. Cut the beets into thin strips or grate them on a coarse grater.
  2. Prepare salad dressing: In a cup, mix vegetable oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic clove. Season with salt and pepper to taste. (You can add honey.)

  3. Pour the dressing into the beets, mix well.
  4. Beet salad can be placed on a dish or in a salad bowl, or it can be served in portions. Tear the lettuce leaves with your hands and put in the portioned bowls.
  5. Put the beets on top with the dressing. Sprinkle with lightly toasted and chopped nuts. (You can sprinkle with sesame seeds.) Beet salad with original dressing is ready!
