Ingredients

  • 1 kg fish fillet (s), e.g., Pollack, TK
  • 2 cans tomato (s), chunky (400 g each)
  • 2 cups sour cream, (150 g each)
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 200 g ratin cheese
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • Herbs, mixed
  • butter
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the sour cream, breadcrumbs, gratin cheese and a little salt into a thick mixture. Put aside.
  2. Then prepare the tomato sauce in a small saucepan. To do this, sweat the chopped onion and the crushed garlic in a little oil, add the canned tomatoes and the tomato paste and season with 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, a little pepper and the herbs (e.g. oregano, parsley, thyme, marjoram). Let simmer briefly, stir well again and again and set aside. If you have to go fast, you can fall back on 800 g herb-tomato sauce (ready-made product) if necessary.
  3. Wash the well-thawed fish and drizzle with lemon juice. Grease a large baking dish with a little butter and place the fish fillets next to each other. Salt and pepper lightly. Spread the tomato sauce evenly on top and spread the cheese mixture on top. Bake at 190 ° C for about 45 minutes. Pay attention to the degree of tan!
  4. Rice, potatoes, pasta or baguette are suitable as a side dish.
