Berries – Red Wine – Jam with Cinnamon and Nuts

Instructions

  1. Thaw the berries while collecting the juice. Put the berries in a high saucepan with the juice, wine, walnuts and cinnamon.
  2. Mix the sugar with Gelfix Extra and stir into the fruit mass. Bring everything to the boil while stirring over high heat, simmer for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly, and remove from the hob. If necessary, skim the food and immediately fill it to the brim in prepared glasses. Close with the lid, turn over and leave on the lid for about 5 minutes.
  3. Note: Makes approx. 8 - 10 smaller glasses. Instead of the red wine, red grape juice can also be used and the shelf life of the jam is shortened by the walnut kernels and the cinnamon.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
