Best Bruschetta Recipe

by Editorial Staff

A classic Italian antipasto snack, which is a slice of toasted bread, such as ciabatta, toasted until light and crispy. And then you can experiment: spread on bread, for example, chopped ripe tomatoes with fresh basil, or roast beef, cheese, and olives and season with balsamic.

Ingredients

  • Ciabatta – 4 slices
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Cherry tomatoes – 10 pieces
  • Basil – 5-6 leaves
  • Olive oil – 20 ml

Directions

  1. First of all, we prepare the bread. It is ideal to use ciabatta, but if not, use any white bread. And yes, it’s better if it is wider (or cut diagonally), so the bruschetta is tastier. Slices of bread must be greased with olive oil. What is this secret for? The crust appears much faster, which means the inside of the bread will be tender and soft, and secondly, the crispness increases.
  2. Now we fry the bread. The grill is ideal. If not, use a frying pan, a toaster, a fire – whatever is at hand. As soon as the slices of bread are fried, immediately rub them with garlic.
  3. The bread is ready. Making the filling. To do this, we chop tomatoes, basil. Mix with olive oil, salt, and pepper. It will be superfluous to talk about the options for “filling” for bruschetta. It can be anything at all: any cheese, cottage cheese, fruit, meat, fish, and any of the most bizarre combinations of them.
  4. The filling is ready. Place gently on slices of bread and serve immediately.
