Best Turkey Lasagna Recipe

by Editorial Staff

On a note, for those who like experimenting, I suggest a delicious and very simple recipe for turkey lasagna. The dish turns out to be very juicy, although less fatty than with minced pork.

Ingredients

  • Turkey) – 600 Grams
  • Onion – 1-2 Pieces
  • Garlic – 2-3 Cloves
  • Tomatoes – 4-6 Pieces (or tomato sauce)
  • Tomato paste – 2-3 tbsp
  • Ricotta – 400 Grams
  • Parmesan – 50 Grams
  • Spinach – 500 Grams
  • Mozzarella – 300-350 Grams
  • Egg – 1 Piece
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Parsley – 1 Pinch
  • Basil – 1 Pinch
  • Lasagne sheets – 12-16 pieces
  • Olive Oil – 1 Teaspoon

Instructions

  1. The turkey fillet must be washed, dried, and minced (you can grind it in a blender).
  2. In a pan with a little olive oil, fry finely chopped onions until transparent. Put the minced meat on the onion and add the garlic passed through a press. Fry over medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  3. Peel and puree fresh tomatoes. Add tomato paste for a more intense color (if the recipe for cooking turkey lasagna includes ready-made tomato sauce, then the paste can be skipped) and mix well. Put in a frying pan with the turkey and simmer over low heat until tender, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Separately, you need to prepare the cheese filling. To do this, knead the ricotta with an egg and a pinch of salt. Add a little Parmesan and mix thoroughly.
  5. Spinach can be used fresh or frozen. It must be sent to a saucepan, after washing and slightly chopping and simmer for literally 5 minutes.
  6. At the bottom of the heat-resistant form, it is necessary to layout part of the minced meat and level it. Cover with lasagna leaves. If desired, this simple turkey lasagna recipe can also be supplemented with Bechamel sauce, which is used to grease the sheets. Grate mozzarella and divide it into 3 parts. Put one on top of the leaves.
  7. The next layer will be the cheese filling, which will also be smoothed over the entire surface. Spread spinach or other vegetables to taste.
  8. Repeat all layers in the same sequence. Cover the top with grated Parmesan and send to the preheated oven for at least 40 minutes. To prevent the top from burning, the mold can be covered with foil. When the turkey lasagna at home is ready, remove the foil and brown the crust for another 5 minutes.
