Ingredients

  • 1 stick celery
  • 1 spring onion (s)
  • 1 leek (rather thin)
  • 1 red pepper (s)
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh or canned
  • 1 glass chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek
  • 1 packet glass noodles (Soeoen Laksa)
  • 450 g turkey schnitzel
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 pinch (s) pepper
  • some oil for frying
  • some water as needed

Instructions

  1. First cut the turkey meat into small pieces. Mix in a bowl with 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce and place in the refrigerator.
  2. In the meantime, wash the vegetables. Cut the leek, spring onion and celery into thin slices. Cut the red pepper into small cubes (rather thin), cut the mushrooms into thin slices.
  3. Use a large saucepan, add a little oil and fry the marinated meat. Add the vegetables and sauté. Deglaze with the chicken stock, add a little more water and season with salt and pepper. Add the sambal oelek (carefully, because the boiling makes it even more intense and hot) and cook for about 25 minutes.
  4. Put glass noodles in an extra bowl and soak in cold water for about 10 minutes. Then add to the boiling broth (drain well beforehand) and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
