Instructions

  1. First, put the oatmeal in a cereal bowl. Heat the water in the kettle (I specified 200 ml for the ingredients - here you just have to see how creamy you want your gruel). Add the hot water to the oatmeal so that it is covered with about 1 cm of water.
  2. Meanwhile, peel the apple, cut it into pieces and place in a saucepan. Add a little water so that the apples are almost covered with water. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes until they soften. Add cinnamon as needed. As soon as the apple is soft, take the pot off the stove and let it cool down a little.
  3. Meanwhile, add yogurt and low-fat quark to your gruel and stir.
  4. Process the apple into a pulp (either with a potato masher or with a hand blender, etc.) and add to the muesli.
  5. Now add the prepared fruit of your choice and season and consume.
  6. Tip: Peach tastes particularly good with it.

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
