Galeta (open pie) with potatoes and canned sardines is an example of how you can make a delicious and beautiful dish from ordinary budget products. Crispy dough, baked potatoes and aromatic fish go well in this recipe. This fish pie with potatoes is sure to please all family members.

Ingredients
For the dough:
Wheat flour – 300 g
Baking dough – 1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil – ½ cup
Hot water – ½ cup
Salt – 1 pinch
For filling:
Potatoes – 700 g (6-7 pcs.)
Canned sardines in oil – 200 g
Butter – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
For decoration (optional):
Fresh greens – to taste
Directions
Peel the potatoes.
Boil potatoes in salted water until half cooked (10-15 minutes after boiling).
Sift flour with baking powder. We put a pinch of salt.
Mix vegetable oil with hot water.
Pour water and butter into the flour.
Knead the dough. We form a bun out of dough.
Cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and leave for 30 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into slices.
Knead the fish with a fork. We use only pieces of fish, we don’t need oil from the jar.
We turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees. Roll out the dough into a circle with a diameter of 40 cm.
Transfer the layer of dough to a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Put half of the potatoes on the dough, 4-5 cm away from the edges.
Spread the fish evenly over the potatoes.
Put the remaining potatoes on the fish. Sprinkle with ground pepper.
Melt the butter.
Fold the edges of the dough over the filling.
Grease the potatoes and the edges of the dough with plenty of butter.
We bake an open pie with potatoes and canned fish at 200 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
The biscuit with potatoes and sardines is ready. Let the potato fish pie cool slightly and cut into portions. Decorate the pie with chopped herbs if desired.
