Ingredients

  • 300 g blackberries
  • 300 g suar (rock candy)
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 500 ml schnapps (grain brandy)

Instructions

  1. Wash the blackberries in a bowl with cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper. Put together with the rock sugar and the vanilla pod, halved lengthways, in a wide-necked bottle (with a screw cap). Pour in the grain brandy and close the bottle.
  2. Store in a cool, dark place for about 8 weeks, shaking occasionally. After the 8 weeks, pour the liqueur through a coffee filter and pour it back into the bottle. Cheers.
