Ingredients

  • 12 slices toasted bread or 300 g onion baguette (which I prefer!) Or white bread
  • 350 ml milk
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 small bunch parsley
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Toast bread or (which I prefer because of the taste) cut and dice onion baguette into thin slices and pour the hot milk over them (+/-; depends on the Degree of dryness of the bread) and let it steep, stir in the eggs and add the steamed onion (cubes) and a handful of chopped parsley. With salt. Season the pepper and nutmeg (!) To taste. The wetter the dough, the looser the dumplings will be! Place in 6 non-greased cups, muffins (microwaveable) or soufflé molds and cook uncovered at 900 W in the micro for approx. 9 minutes. Then simply rush onto the plate. If there is anything left over, wonderful: cut into slices and fry. Hardly any work and is a particularly fine side dish.
