Instructions

  1. Mix all the dough ingredients together until you have a smooth, non-sticky yeast dough. Let it rise until its volume has doubled.
  2. After walking on the work surface, knead again vigorously and divide into three parts. Roll out a piece of dough into a sheet and cut out a round sheet of dough using a springform pan. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with green pesto. Leave a small margin free. The next piece of dough is rolled out again as a sheet, cut out and placed on the sheet of dough coated with green pesto. The red pesto is now spread on this dough base. Finally, another plate is rolled out of the third ball and placed on top as a lid.
  3. Cut into pieces of cake with a knife, but do not cut them in the middle. First it is quartered, then eighth, then these are divided again so that 16 segments are created. Now always take 2 pieces and twist each 2x outwards. Proceed in this way with the complete pastry wheel. Even during preparation you can clearly see the beautiful pattern that is created. Let rise a little more, brush with whisked egg or milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes.
