Ingredients

  • 3 large kohlrabi
  • 8 slices cheese, e.g. cheddar cheese
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 75 g flour
  • some breadcrumbs
  • a bit salt
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • some pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into 16-20 slices. Cook in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes. Drain and cool.
  2. Cut circles out of the cheese the size of the kohlrabi slices. Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Place egg, flour and breadcrumbs separately in deep plates.
  3. Place a slice of cheese between two kohlrabi slices. Turn first in the flour, then in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a large pan and stir-fry the kohlrabi slices until golden brown.
  4. Rice tastes very good with it.
