Ingredients

For the schnitzel:

  • 4 pork schnitzel
  • 1 egg (s)
  • flour
  • breadcrumbs
  • Spice (s) your choice
  • some fat for the pan

For the sauce:

  • 2 leeks
  • 1 red pepper (s)
  • 1 bell pepper (s), yellow
  • 4 tomato (s)
  • 4 onion (s)
  • 0.25 liter ¼ vegetable stock
  • Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 pickled cucumber (s)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork schnitzel to taste and then bread it with flour, egg and breadcrumbs as usual. Then fry the schnitzel in hot fat and take out again, keep warm.
  2. Cut the leek into rings and dice the remaining vegetables. Now sweat the leek rings in the fat (from the schnitzel). Then add the peppers and onions and steam everything a little. But be careful that it doesn`t turn brown. Now add the tomato cubes and deglaze everything with the broth and simmer a little. A little more broth may be needed.
  3. At the very end, add the cucumber cubes. Now season everything with ketchup, salt and pepper. Place the pork schnitzel on the sauce and let it steep (important!).
