Ingredients

  • 750 g broad beans (2 1/2 - 3 k with shells)
  • 40 g butter, or mararine OR:
  • 60 g bacon, fat cut into small cubes
  • 1 stalk savory
  • 125 ml water
  • a bit salt
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water, cold to stir
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, smooth, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt the margarine or leave out the bacon and heat the split beans in it for a short time. Then add the savory, the water and a little salt and cook the beans over low heat for about 40 minutes. Thicken the vegetables with the mixed cornstarch, season with salt and sprinkle with the parsley.
