Instructions

  1. Divide the cauliflower and broccoli into florets and wash. Cook the florets in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes, place in a colander and drain.
  2. In the meantime, peel and dice the onions, peel and quarter the apple and cut into slices crosswise. Also cut the sausages into thicker slices. Rinse marjoram with cold water, pat dry and pluck the leaves from the stems.
  3. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan. Fry the sausage slices brown while turning, remove and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining oil to the frying fat in the pan and heat. Fry the onion cubes in it, add the apple slices and sauté briefly.
  5. Add a little water and let the liquid boil down a little. Season with salt and pepper and fold in half of the marjoram leaves. Add sausage slices.
  6. Whisk eggs and milk together and season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  7. Place the cauliflower and broccoli in a large, flat baking dish. Spread the sausage and apple mixture in between and pour the egg milk evenly over it. Sprinkle with cheese. Put the form on the wire rack in the oven and bake at approx. 180-200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
  8. This goes well with mashed potatoes
