  • 2 ciabatta
  • 8 tomato (s), (vine tomatoes)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 4 clove (s) garlic
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, white
  • 1 splash lime juice
  • salt
  • Pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces. Finely dice the onion. Finely chop three cloves of garlic. Mix everything in a bowl, season with salt and pepper. Peel and halve the other clove of garlic.
  3. Cut the ciabatta into thin slices, drizzle a little olive oil on one side and rub the garlic halves. Bake the bread until crispy in the oven for a maximum of 6-8 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, mix the tomatoes, onions and garlic and refine with balsamic vinegar, lime juice and a small pinch of sugar. Add four tablespoons of olive oil, stir well once and let stand for two minutes. Stir again and then pour off any excess liquid.
  5. Cut the basil into thin strips, add and mix everything together.
  6. Take the ciabatta out of the oven, sprinkle a little salt on the olive oil side and top with the tomato spread. Finally season with a little salt and pepper and arrange on a preheated plate. Pour a few drops of olive oil over the bread and garnish with basil leaves.
